I used to be subscribed to Gervase Markham's blog "Hacking for Christ" for quite a long time. Gerv is actually one of the prominent developers of the Mozilla project and seems to focus much on web technologies and specifically Mozilla development. Now, truth be told, I personally don't actually have much of any interest in the details of Mozilla development. But I stayed subscribed to the blog because of its name. I just found it very appealing that he is indeed "Hacking for Christ".

Now that I was finally convinced to start my own blog, I had to take time to try and come up with a name for it. My creative abilities are surely reflected in the fact that I ended up using my own name. Nothing to innovate there. The tagline, "Impact culture and humanity", is actually more contentful, and is really something that I hope to be a part of in one way or another. Hopefully this would even be a positive kind of impact. This tagline was chosen as a reflection on my company's vision statement as articulated here, and reflects also the fact that I will most probably be blogging much about things related to my role as the leader of Job and Esther Technologies.

Yet a part of me really wanted to name the blog something "for Christ". So by this post let it be implied in all the things I'll be talking about. Hopefully I'll be able to at least occasionally make some justice to that dedication.

Getting started is always the hardest part, especially so when it comes to writing things (this is in my personal experience). By that, I consider this blog opened.
